ugh! monday morning. i really did look out the window this morning to see what the weather was doing-hopeful there might be a weather fluke and we would have a random snow day...ok so its the end of april and EVERYTHING is in bloom (my sinuses will attest!) and its extrememly unlikely that we would have a snow day and if we did-i'd probably really be upset-but i so wanted to crawl back into bed and sleep a bit longer-please? oh please...just a tiny bit more. nope-not going to happen....twas not in the cards for today.
yesterday ended up being a beautiful day, it was a tad windy...its been a tad windy the last week or so-geesh my hair ends up looking like a rats nest after the crazy wind blows it all around. its not great to start out with-so i really don't need the added help from the wind. (thanks, but no thanks!)
friday night, keller ended up having his first ever baseball game-it was cold and of course windy and 30 minutes before the game it had rained hard most of the afternoon, but they still had it. he was the lead off batter. WHAT? really? i wasn't ready for this...i actually almost started crying (which greg later reminded me of course "there is no crying in baseball!" insert tom hanks voice) but my baby, my first born child is actually old enough to be the lead batter in the game, and kick of the season-his first swing and bam-a hit!
i love this last one...it will of course be one of the beloved photos i show to his future wife or something :)
keller ended up scoring the first run of the season for the team, oh my-almost big tears again!
of course he had a fan that was even bigger than me :) too cute, everytime the parents clapped, so did dillon!
so, as i said yesterday was am awesome day (minus the wind) and i had a few errands to run in the morning...i've decided that i am going to make dillon's bday cake this year. i took all of those cake decorating classes forever ago and never use my "skills"...so we'll see-even if it ends up looking like pooh-i am sure it will still taste yummy. i had to pick up some items and hopefully late this week i'll try a practice cake, after i got back greg decided he was going to get the sandbox ready. we installed a playset last fall and didn't do anything to the sandbox. i ran to lowe's to pick up a million pounds of sand, ok it was more like 350lbs, but still a lot. when i got back, they were ready to dump and play.
surprisingly, dillon didn't try to eat the sand, which i was for sure he'd do. there's still time... i've already said it a million times and i am sure its just the beginning "keep the sand in the sandbox!" he-he...i so sound like my mom! (when did this happen?)
alright...busy week ahead, lots to do-but hopefully lots of fun as well.
