scary bunnies and yummy eggs

i tried to take care of a few errands this morning and since it was cold and rainy our trip to the easter egg hunt was not going to happen-soooo i figured i'll just take the kids to the mall -get an awesome pic with the awesome easter bunny and wahla i have my easter card picture!  greg even looked at the website online and you could buy the rights to the pic and print as many times as you wanted-alrighty...let's go!

so i dressed the boys in somewhat easter garb and packed up the car and we were on our way.  (i was praying and hoping it wasn't going to be like our trip to see santa-a two hour wait...surely since i was getting to the mall just after it opened the wait couldn't be too long?)

thankfully, there were only a few peeps in line and it was almost our turn.  kman was already starting to have doubts about it (great) and when it was our turn he totally starting bawling and refused to have anything to do with the bunny.  doodle wasn't exactly happy either-but atleast he's in the pic-kman wouldn't even go and stand by him (which is what we did for santa).
so here is the photo i ended up with

not exactly easter card worthy-and i am kinda missing a kid...so i only bought this one photo and had to come up with something else for the easter cards.  of course in my last second efforts to get kman to get in the picture i offered ice cream to him-but since he didn't partake in the picture i told him "sorry-no ice cream" and of course-major meltdown at the mall-and of course i am reminded why i don't take the boys shopping with me.  we made it through the rest of the trip without any tantrums and made it home just in time for naps.

later in the day i had kman dye easter eggs and doodle watched.  i took a ton of pics and came up with something for my easter card that way-i kinda stole my same idea from last year-but last year doodle was yet to arrive, so...its different, right?  i am probably the only person who really cares about it-but i care and so...that's that :) he-he  (of course they won't be ready for pick up until mid day on monday-so i'll be busting my booty to get them in the mail asap!)

here are a few pics from the egg dying-in the end i think all but one or two eggs ended up purple.

thanks to hubs who spent the morning "baby proofing" our kitchen cabinets.  in the last week or so doodle has become obsessed with them-so it was totally time.  of course he migrated to the ones under the kitchen sink that have all the harmful chemicals in them-lovely.  sorry little d-man your access is now DENIED!
