positive promos!

well, i am OFFICIALLY the "finance operations coordinator" which is really a kind of silly title-because i work in the accounting department not finance...and i think i kind of like the executive assistant title better-because that really says what i do....who is going to know that the "finance operations coordinator" supports the "chief accounting officer"???  oh well, its only a title-but for me it was a promotion-so YIPEE!  very awesome!  :)
to celebrate we all pilled into the car last night after dinner and headed to sonic for a "blizzard" like treat.  wow...we are so old and boring :)

the rest of the week should be busy...i am having dinner with two of my bffs' tonight jw and cc...miss them-we haven't gotten together since before christmas so i am so looking forward to catching up with them.

its's swim night so hubs may have to take both boys himself...earlier this winter it was easier to "lug" doodle around...now that's he a bit older and into EVERYTHING he is exhausted by 7ish...so not the best time for him to be heading out and about.

friday we are having dinner with hubs' dad's family...that's always a fun time-lots of kids for kman to run around with.  saturday we just scheduled a last minute dinner with our friends m & s, who have a little girl a few weeks older than doodle.  they are all so special to us...s is doodle's godmother. :)

i did make it to my lunch and learn yesterday and enjoyed the motivation...i also got to see a few ladies i don't normally see on a regular basis.  the speaker really focused in on how we really do control what happens to us and our thoughts have so much to do with that.  if we think positive and have a good attitude he says good things will happen.  he recognizes that bad things happen in the world and happen to us...but we can always see positive in them if we try.  earlier this week...a "facebook friend" that i grew up with had his apartment burn down, and since then he's been constantly "thanking" friends and family and so grateful for the outpouring he's received.  he lost all of the material things he's accumulated in his life...but in the end that really doesn't matter...so many other things to be thankful for.  a very good lesson these last few days.  i really try to be positive and i think i do a pretty good job most of the time, but as i enter this new phase in my work life i am really going to try and step it up a bit more.  WATCH OUT ...here comes the positive finance operations coordinator :)
