over the weekend i mangaed to get two nights in a row of uninterupted sleep. i am not sure exactly how i accomplished that and was so hopeful i'd make it three in a row. unfortunately that just wasn't the case. i am certainly blessed that my little doodle sleeps through the night and has for some time now and of course kman as well...so what's the scoop on mommy? so this morning i am daydreaming about a trip back to bed. i am positive once i made it back there i probably wouldn't fall back asleep anyway-but what's the harm in the possibility?
yesterday it rained most of the day and night...it poured all afternoon and decided to downright DOWNpour on my way out of jcpenney where i had to stopped to pick up a baby gift.
i was soaked when i made it to my car..samething on the way into the daycare school-a downright sopping mess was i.
kman has been doing this thing when i pick them up about hiding and not wanting to leave. i am happy that he loves it there and can understand why he doesn't want to leave...but by this time i am just ready to be home. i've been giving him a few extra minutes by picking him up last-i always spend a few minutes in the infant room with the teachers there; especially now that doodle is eating more and more food-they are always giving me the low down on what he ate and how he did, etc... anyway yesterday after i was a sopping wet mess i really just wanted to go. kman wouldn't "come on!" and i was really at my wits end. finally after 5-10 minutes of reasoning with him we got into the car and then it was a downright complain fest the entire time. "i don't want to go home, i want to go somewhere else, i don't want pizza, i don't ...i don't...." REALLY? i was over it...so i yelled.
of course i always feel badly after i do it...he of course cried and then after about a minute of silence we were better. the whole car ride little doodle is just giggling. what a ham? at home kman and i hugged a bunch as i apologized and then tried to reason with him again-about WHY i want to leave...i doubt it will make a difference but we'll see.
hubs and kman made homemade pizza's for dinner while doodle and i played on the floor. after dinner the boys got a bath together again-i don't think its kman's favorite thing to do...but doodle LOVES it. he likes it a little too much-trying to stand up in the tub and he's all over the place. i did get a few cute shots of them with my new camera-and hubs was able to get my software loaded yesterday...so hopefully i'll play around with that tonight-maybe.
today i am super swamped at work and hoping to get to a lunch and learn on "Attitude - Change Your Thoughts, Change Your World" well ok! its so true though. i think i've learned that lesson a long time ago.
it turned cold again this morning, mother nature's little taste of spring didn't last long... but cold is good for some reason, right? (the power of positive thinking!) :)
