morning monday

so thankful that we had a great weekend...friday night we made it to the "friday fishbowl" at the Y...they open up the instructional pool to those who are currently taking swim lessons.  it was doodle's first time swimming.  he was a bit apprehensive and held on to me and hubs pretty tight-but he splashed around a bit.  after about 30 minutes the water was a bit too cold for him and daddy took him out.  kman had the most fun of all...and i think he thought it was pretty cool that we all got to swim with him. 

saturday hubs and i cleaned most of the morning-and we got ready for our date night out.  (dinner and the playhouse)  sunday we made it to church and spent most of the afternoon lounging around and reading the paper while the boys took naps. 

for what ever reason, the weather never got as warm as they predicted, we even ended up with hail and a little bit of ice in the morning (wierd). 

we had dinner at my dad's house-who we haven't seen for almost a month-so that was nice catching up.  i feel like we've been a little out of the loop lately with family and friends-one of us has been sick for like the last 4 or 5 weekends...its a bit hard to socialize when you are covered in snot and puke. 


friday my much awaited camera arrived (YIPPEE!) so i spent some time on saturday getting the settings adjusted and taking random shots of the fam, the dog, whatever :)  hubs and i still need to work on loading the software, so once we do that i can upload my first few pics! 

my mom called on friday and asked me if i knew what a kindle was?  HECK YES!  another of the items on my small wishlist.  she said she had won one at work and wanted to know if i wanted it.  HECK YES!  so...another new toy.  i love it.  i am already on my second book.  THANKS MOM!!!!!  :)  LOVE IT! 

what a nice day...my camera and the kindle all in one day-as if the weekend couldn't get any better i found an awesome pair of sandals on clearance at DSW during date night.  hubs is usually the one who walks out with shoes from there-i typically don't find much there...my foot is wide and i struggle with shoes.  so when i find a good deal on a pair that fits-snatch those babies up! 

i was thinking the last few days are too good to be true...we might want to consider playing the lottery...so we did.  BUSTED!  we chanced $20 buckaroos on a stratch off-we won ZERO.  really?  oh well-we don't want to temp fate too much ;)
