can i just say that the weather here in the midwest is CrAzY this past week. how can we be so up in down in the temp and percipitation department? this must be global warming ;)
seriously, last week on tuesday evening into wednesday we had 4.5 inches of snow, schools closed for only the second time this year, but by friday it was barely noticable because the temp was rising and most of the snow had melted away. saturday driving around with no coat and basking in the sun of the warm almost 60 degree temp it was silly to see these huge piles of snow in parking lots that weren't in the sun, to melt off.
what a difference the sun and warm weather makes though.
today, its literally been raining since about 4 in the morning. its stopped here and there, but every time i glance out the window its pelting down again. thankfully the temps are still pretty high or else this could be all snow....which i think might be in the forecast for later this week.
it was nice to sleep with the windows open over night though. i didn't mention it to the hubs last night, but at one point i was already feeling hot, its barely march and spring is only knocking on the door. jokingly i've mentioned sleeping in the basement, but it might not be a bad idea; especially when those summer months hit.
i managed to get out and take a walk on saturday, i haven't been super active the last few weeks, so it was nice. the hubs and i also went out to dinner. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't tired, but i made it through and i think someone was snoring before me that night.
he has been working crazy hours and days and i think he just needs some time to veg and relax. its so hard to do that with a cranky wife and cranky kids.
the hint of spring has def left me wanting more. i am keeping my eyes on the calendar, spring officially begins in 9 days, so it can't possibly snow anymore after that, RIGHT? i must say, i am not a fan of the time change, i guess it was nice that at 8pm it was still light out last night, but i'd rather sleep the extra hour for the next how many weeks. that's just my 2cents.
