snowflake

well if you've been living under or rock or perhaps you don't have small children...the latest and greatest around the holidays is the "elf on the shelf" story and elf.  the idea is that the elf will report back to santa whether the child has been good or not.  well the hubs and i tinkered with the idea last year and the elf and book are like $30 bucks.  i don't know i am cheap and honestly i thought the elf looked a little creepy..but i liked the idea that he "could" report back to santa...so we i decided to do our my own version.

meet "snowflake"
he arrived via "the mail" the other day with a note from santa, to kman.  it basically said that santa received kman's letter at the north pole and he enjoyed meeting him and getting his picture taken with him the other day, you'll recall:
of course santa remembers us, how could he not?  he also said he was sending along and elf named "snowflake" to watch over kman and that snowflake would report back to santa on whether or not he'd been good.
so far a hit!  the hubs wasn't home when kman opened the mail...but it was the first thing he heard about the next day.
look where we found snowflake this morning...he certainly gets around!

by the way, snowflake was only $1.99 at walgreens and we recycled an old package and wrote up our own letter on christmas paper i used for one of my christmas letters about 10 years ago...i knew it'd come in handy again!  i think i might have kman send snowflake back to santa after christmas, which i've kind of discussed with him, of course he lives at the north pole, not in my basement.
