the family room!

well i don't know how we managed to find the time to do it; but remember those curtains i purchased back in um...march, welp we the hubs finally got them installed. (YIPEE!)  they look great and i can't believe how much more complete the room looks!!!  i was really worried they were going to make the room look darker or smaller and honestly i think they make the ceilings look higher (we hung the rods about 8 inches from the ceiling~which was about 5 inches or so above the top of the window and it gives the illusion that the windows are taller than they are and it makes the ceiling appear higher as well)

since hubs had out all his "hangin' up tools" i went ahead and had him put up a few other things as well.  remember way back when, when i purhased the   vintage screen door from the local thrift maket?  yes, wonderful hubby hung that as well.  (he still thinks i am crazy!)

this was a huge stride in a project we started almost a year ago...i have a few finishing touches, but am so happy (thanks sweetie!) on the progress we made this weekend! 

(do my bookshelves look too cluttered?  oh no...another project!)
