you likey?

ok, so yesterday hubs and i raced over to the antique thrift market to look at pick up my screen door that i told you all about the other day. (they close at 5:30pm-who gets to shop during the day?  really...are there that many people that don't work?)  hubs wasn't completely in love with it and i don't think he could invision it in all its glory.  he's kind of worried that the "old" part of it brings with it lead paint and such...i am just seeing that natural beauty of the piece and loving the architecure of the door!  so, i worked out a deal with the guy at the store that allowed me to bring it back today should i not like it, its typically not their policy and believe me on the ride home i was sweatin' it and just knowing for sure i'll be brining it back tomorrow...BUT once hubs held it up, i knew.  THAT'S IT!  it's everything i had imagined it to be.  this picture is a little off center-but give my hubs some credit-that darn door is a bit heavy and of course i don't want him to scratch the wall or anything-but this atleast gives you a little idea of what its gonna look like.

i am even thinking if it looks bare, i can add some art in the open screen spaces hanging off the screen.  LOVE IT!!!!  i think i mentioned i picked up a mirror for that room the other day; this will go perfect together.  i already have a piece hanging up and i don't think its gonna go...shucky!  which isn't the end of the world, so i'll probably move that to a new location.  it might actually work in my potty room...hello?  is this all coming together?  maybe????  i only started this project last fall...maybe i can finish it by this fall (let's not get too hasty!)

now if i could just decide on a faucet, then i'll be on my way in the bathroom as well.  (hubs will likely divorce me if i don't pick one soon...i am totally making this a bigger deal than it is!)  i know...its just a faucet, right?

so, little doodle bug is home with dada today...they (the lovely ladies at the daycare school) called just as i was getting to the antique market last night and said that he had a fever and had been coughing most of the afternoon.  poor bubby!  i think he slept good last night and hopefully the humidifier helped the cough.  lots of sleep and relaxation today with dad!   (who i am so glad is able to stay home with him today!)

i had totally planned to go to bed early last night, which didn't happen and then when i did finally lay my head down my brain was going a hundred miles a minute and i didn't sleep well at all.  i can't even imagine how i am going to make it in class tonight until 10:30pm...by friday i am sure i'll be fried!
