well, the potty mouth seems to be a theme? ugh! when i picked kman up from school the teacher wanted to let me know that apparently one of the kids shouted out "d*mn it!" during class. the little wee one was talked to about the use of the phrase, but apparently my son kept circling it, even after the teacher spoke to him about it. UGH!
hubs and i discussed and decided we'd use the "soap in the mouth" incident from sun afternoon to help us talk about not using bad words, and how this particular phrase was a million times worse than "oh god".
at dinner we did just that, and told him we didn't want to hear that kind of language and we'd be talking to the teacher daily to make sure he was following the rules, etc. and if not, there would be more soap to "eat".
all was well...we moved on and keller got up from the dinner table to play and literally within 60 seconds "oh god" comes out of the mouth AGAIN. HAVE WE NOT LEARNED ANYTHING PEOPLE?????
so, mr soap in the mouth AGAIN...this time for 60 seconds. i so...wanted to take a picture of him sitting on the toilet with the bar in his mouth; i am sure in 30 years (reminder i'll be sitting at my lake house sipping my coffee reminded of this funny time, right?) it would be funny-yesterday not so much.
oh well, today is a new day, right? i felt better after i consulted with my bff and she confirmed she is always correcting for the "oh god" as well....is this in the pre-school handbook? geez little ones!
on a more serious note...i would like to take a moment to remember my girl kimmie, who lost her
long battle with breast cancer on sunday. (i was just talking about her on saturday and it was such a shock to hear. i think she'd been in stage 4 for a few months now and her body just couldn't take anymore.)
34 years old, is just way to young, d*mn it!
princeton high school class of 1995 has lost a true viking! rest in peace!
