hello monday morning. hello sleepy me.

yesterday the heat index reached about 100 degrees.  we decided against doing anything that consisted of actually spending time outside.  we've never taken kman (or doodle) to our children's museum, so we decided that could be a fun way to spend the day, inside.  it was.

we finished off the day with dinner at Dewey's (yum), a trip to the Whipty Do Do Do Do and a swim in our neighborhood pool.  heaven!  :) 

saturday, i was in this cleaning mode.  it took me literally all day to clean my upstairs.  once i got started i just couldn't stop.  i was cleaning closets, scrubbing floors, and a donating fool.  i've got several boxes of items that need to be sent to my designated charities (goodwill, the vintage market and thrift benefit autism research and matthew 25 ministries) and another section that i'll try to sell to the local children's resale shop.  its always nice to purge-hubs and i get sucked into watching that "hoarders" show and i think its our my motivation to get rid of stuff.


jealous that hubs and kman are off work today.  kman's got a cleaning at the dentist and a trip to the dermatologist on his calendar for today.  hopefully both will go off without a hitch.

i survived my mri on friday (barely!)  they can call it "open" if they wish...and for some it might not be a big deal; but i laid their in panic for alteast 20 or so minutes with my eyes closed "pretending" i was somewhere other than where i really was.  finally i opened my eyes and  with my head tilted to the side i stared at something on the wall.  a device of some kind, but i endured for 45-60 minutes.
i enjoyed my glass of wine later in the evening as i let all of the stress from the experience wilt away.  if i ever, need to endure the wrath of the mri machine again, i'll enjoy the wrath of grapes first =).
i return to the ortho's office tomorrow afternoon for the results.
