well; i guess we survived the end of the world or the prediction was slightly off. thankfully given i have so much on my to-do list.  we've experienced crazy storms though last night and into the morning and there were a few booms that made me think that it just might be happening.  let's also say prayers for the folks west of us who experienced tornados yesterday.  talk about scary...  lots of thoughts and well wishes sent to them as they try to recover from the devistation. 

my fam and i enjoyed a lovely weekend...managed to get a few things crossed off our list AND relaxed for a bit.  hubs and i actually watched TWO movies this weekend and stayed up on saturday and watched the ENTIRE saturday night live episode.  its been some time since i was actually up at 1am for any other reason beside taking care of a hungry or sick baby.  of course we were both up bright and early the next morning-so today i am just plain tired.  oh well...some nice quality laughs and fun with the hubs is totally worth it!  saturday "we" did some thrifting-i've discovered some new locations and managed to score a desk for kman's room.  its already naked; which is totally AWESOME-so once hubs sands it-we should be able to paint it to match kman's existing furniture.  i think he is going to LOVE it...a perfect place for future homework to get accomplished!  ;~) 

we picked up a few others odds and ends items...hubs is proud of the "hooters" beer mug he picked up for $1.00. total score!  (not!  i have my treasures and he has his!)  yesterday; i took an entire car load of our unwanted treasures to the goodwill-our basement is looking better and better every chance we get to actually spend some much needed time down there.  hopefully soon it will be actually organized and look less like a storage locker!

i can hardly believe this weekend is memorial day; hoping to get the deck stained this weekend!  (fingers crossed x) that the rain holds off for ATLEAST 24 hours and we get to enjoy some holiday fun too!
