hello daylight savings time...hello sleepy me. everyone went to bed extra early last night so they would not end up tired and cranky this morning-but for whatever reason my body wasn't into sleeping. FAIL-apparently i also did a number with the covers as well-because mister greg was none to happy with me this morning. sorry sweetie :(
what a weekend though-the weather was downright WONDERFUL and we got so much accomplished. saturday morn, right after breakfast i finally took pictures of the dishwasher and the over the range kitchen fan we had replaced back in the fall-and got those bad boys on "craigslist" and SCORE we watched them walk out last night-going home with two young "remodelers". a big honkin shout out to craig and his list for making that stuff so EASY. well there was a little bit of anxiety on our part that the people coming to look at the items could have been ax murderers and even though we met them out in the garage and they looked "normal" enough...the guy asked to use the restroom and my overly anxiety stricken mind went "ok-this is when they are going to kill us". but the guy really did just have to use the bathroom, they were nice enough and will hopefully give our old dishwasher and fan a nice new home.
after the craiglist ad was complete-it was on to the basement, thankfully we had already started a graveyard of unwanted items, and after going through several more boxes hubs loaded my car with all the donations to "goodwill" -it was packed-the back the middle and the front. kman made the trip with me to the new "goodwill" store (with a quick diversion to grandma c's house) and we dropped everything off-we even managed to wonder through the store a bit for a few finds. a 0.99 cent picture i am hoping will work in my bedroom and a 3.99 vase that looks great on my fireplace mantel. LOVE me some bargains!
yesterday i took all my "home decor" unwanteds to a "thrift and antique market" (her profits benefit autism research and she always has the cutest, unique stuff) i made it to her door 5 minutes before she closed and she was gratious enough to let me look around-but it really wasn't enough time to shop...so i left her place empty handed. but she got another good haul from our basement.
this week i am hopeful i'll get to all the books i have and maybe make it to "half price books" for my first sale there. i've never done that before-but i've already committed half my profits to charity-so hopefully i'll get a decent buy back there. (fingers crossed x)
