weekend re-cap

hard to believe it's monday morn already...why is it the weekends are always so fast.  poohey!  even though it came and went we had fun...saturday morning kman and i had our "date" to the puppet show at playhouse in the park; i was sure he was going to LOVE it.  I was so wrong..the best thing that came out of that experience was this shot that hubs took of us before we left.

ok, so it wasn't that horrible, but kman still didn't really enjoy "sleeping beauty".  he wasn't one of the youngest kids there but it seemed the 6-7 year olds had the most fun, about 25 minutes in he was complaining that he was hungry and he was getting a little antsy.  eventually we made it to his restuarant of choice "skyline".  for those who don't know or can't appreciate cincinnati style chili they serve spaghetti noodles with a chili type sauce covered in cheddar cheese to  make a 3-way, you can add beans, onions, etc..for a 4 or a 5 way.  kman enjoys the 2-way.  which is just spaghetti noodles and cheese, it doesn't even really turn into macaroni and cheese but he eats it up like its the best thing EVER.  we stopped and got ice cream after that...and made our way home to daddy and doodle-just in time for NAP TIME.

i worked on getting the house cleaned up a bit and then it was time to get ready for hubs and i to head out.  we were having dinner downtown and my mom was coming over to watch the boys.

sunday we did some glorified "window shopping" literally.  we started off our trip trying to buy curtains for the living room and i thought i had scored the perfect deal...found the exact color i was looking for and even managed to find something i might want to use for my bedroom-i am not even to that room yet :)  all way cheaper than i had been pricing.   always...two steps ahead.  unfortunately the curtains i purchased for the living room don't really work.  thankfully we didn't really hang them...hubs just sorta held them up and we both looked at them and said NOPE.

we also spent some time looking at vanities for our downstairs bathroom.  I KNOW!  I KNOW.  we just moved in, but there is pedestal sink in there and its just not very kid friendly at all...so before someone pulls it off the wall its probably best to update with a normal sink and vanity.

little doodle worked on his ball tossing skills this weekend...after about five minutes of watching grandma and kman toss the ball back and forth he decided that was something he wanted to do as well.  he catches on so quickly!  he decided he's not really into giving mommy kisses anyway..how quickly he moves on ;)  funny how they get caught up in something and then its on to the next thing.
