the morning after...

even though we really didn't "do" anything i think that was one of my favorite valentine's day's (besides the fact i spent what felt like 4 hours in the car trying to get my car from the dealer (that didn't end up fixing anything anyway) and getting home...but that is besides the point).

kman had fun yesterday morning when he got his gift a "toy story" matchbox car.  now buzz and woody are together forever!  hubsand i got eachother some of our favorite things-even though we said we really weren't going to exchange gifts this year...just small tokens of  our LOvE ;)  (Yes...that's a 40 oz Bud Light for hubs!)
kman (and doodle) got some mail over the past few days, valentine's cards from grandma e and grandpa p, a valentine from great aunt d and great uncle j, and grandma m sent him a couple of mickey mouse coloring books and stickers.  even though he can't read the cards yet, he loves opening the mail (not sure where he gets that from? he-he)

hubs and i are splitting shifts again with doodle, he went to the doctor yesterday and he is on the tail end of bronchilitis-he even received a breathing treatment while he was there...dad explained he was none too happy about that.  but last night he was actually smiling and trying to give me kisses again, he was waving up a storm and we might actually have "high fives" in the works :)  hopefully tomorrow he'll be back to school (fingers crossed x)

on a side note, my new camera has shipped and is on its way (YIPEE)!!!!  still trying to get together all the accessories, like memory cards, a bag, etc..  i am stuck on the bag purchase-the camera was easy...but somehow the bag is causing stress.  it's like a $40-65 purchase which is a bit over my treshhold of actually thinking if i don't like it i can just replace it.  so  i think i've narrowed it down to 2 and can't decide...  in the end is it really that big of a deal?

yesterday i got some sad news about a friend i used to work with-way back when in my optometric tech days.  "j" was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last march and passed away yesterday.  i haven't talked to him through the illness but have often thought about him.  he was a very interesting person and seemed to know a little bit about everything. he'd been a lot of places and liked to share stories-probably one of the smartest guys i've ever known and i'll always remember that about him.

...oh did i mention "j" was ALWAYS right.  i can just imagine he'll be arguing with someone up there!  rip j.r!
