i just realized i had a date wrong. (not that it matters....but) for whatever reason i thought that the hubs and i got engaged on june 1st, we met on june 1st...but actually got engaged on august 1st. now there are a few years in between. like two, i think.
anywho, when i got my planner out to verify i scanned through some of the entries for 2004 and was immediately reminded of a gosh awful week that i had late december of 2004. it was right after christmas that year. i think all christmas long i had suffered with a horrid cold or was starting to get one.
monday morning, totally feeling like poopoo and i was heading into work and wouldn't you know it; A FLAT TIRE. BOO. i recall it was cold (BRRRR) and i think pretty snowy. i don't think i got very far before i realized there was something wrong...but i spent the rest of the afternoon getting a new tire, etc..etc... so, i felt like garbage and had a flat tire. ok, i'll take it.
nope, you aren't finished yet.
tuesday rolled around and again on my way to work, man tries to avoid a big pile o snow, pulls over into my lane and i slam on breaks...but i hit him from behind. SERIOUSLY???????????? ugh.... car towed to body shop. still feeling like crappo.
wednesday rolls around and at this point i am mentally and physically spent...so call into work. need a day to re-coop. i am pretty sure i spent most of the day on the phone regarding my car and possibly i might have laid around and maybe relaxed.
then, as i am recalling this i remember the ultimate doozy. i remember i was actually written up for this or given an occurance or whatever. all the long hours i had spent coming in early and staying late and one lousy week of bad luck and WHAM! i was bitter. so bitter....that i could still taste the bitterness. ARGH! probably reason number 1 million and whatever why i still don't work for that company. but that's another story.
oh...the story makes me hate winter. so glad its currently 89 degrees outside. no chance of snow for a good long while. WOOT WOOT!
