we dropped doodle off at daycare and came back home to eat some breakfast, get dinner started in the crockpot and did a little cleaning. well...i did the cleaning and kman played beyblades. if you don't know what beyblades are-check them out...its all the rage in boyworld. but typically only fun when you have someone else to "battle" against...so i did play a few thousand times :)
we got to the doctors office right on time, i came armed with a million things i wanted to ask about (its really been a year since he was last there-so i wanted to make sure some of the things on our list, were normal). we waited foreva! no really, i am thanking my lucky stars i decided it was best if only kman and i went....had doodle been there things would have not been pretty. i had already prepared him that there might be shots in his future and when we finally made it back there (50 minutes later) that was our first question. bad news: two shots, a finger pric for iron and a TB test. ugh! good news: hopefully no more shots until he's 11. thank goodness because he screamed bloody murder on all 4 things...poor kid! he's still upset today by the whole ordeal :(
unfortunately, one of the issues on my list was a cause for concern and required that we make a trip to the childrens hospital for additional bloodwork :(
poor guy!
we had hoped to have lunch with daddy, but the doctors appt took so long, we didn't have time. kman insisted he wanted breakfast for lunch and after his morning, i couldn't deny him. so the closest place was ihop...surely we could eat in 30-40 minutes? ha-ha...nope...at 25 minutes we still had no food and had to leave so we wouldn't miss our dentist appt.
seriously? i am not a fan of that place anyway...but chose it based on closeness-i am 100% sure i won't ever be going back there. horrible.
here's my little man waiting patiently for his meal that we never got....
by the end of the day, he had 25 sillybands, 5 stickers (3 of which were on his shirt), a bouncy ball, two suckers 3 band aids :(
the dentist went great though...he did fabulous and his teeth look awesome (he must get that from the hubs...because my teeth aren't fabulous, i've had fillings in almost every tooth and tons of work and i am pretty sure i got that from both my mom and dad!)
finally about 2:40pm we ate lunch...a yummy worth the wait lunch....but we were starving. our next stop was the childrens hospital for bloodwork, which he hated, of course...but
here he is waiting patiently to go back...
he wasn't quite as happy when we left :(
i was hopeful we'd have a fun day...but unfortunately it didn't turn out exactly as expected and just left us a little uneasy and unfortunately with some unanswered questions. hopefully we'll have more to report, once we get his bloodwork back.
how grateful i am to have this little darling in my life though!
