happy 2012.

it's a bit of a bummer that all of the long weekends are now gone...i was kind of getting used to those 4 days weekends.  its amazing how much i can get caught up on.  like all the new movies at the video store, ha-ha. 

the hubs and i went out this past friday night and did dinner and a movie (in reverse order) and that's how we celebrated new year's eve (one day early).  it worked because all the crazies weren't out and we had a sitter and we had a blast! (atleast i did, anyhow!)  plus now we've met our quota for visiting a movie theatre once every two years, so we're good.  i heard on the radio this morning that movie sales are in the crapper...well if it didn't cost twenty bucks for a coke and a bag of popcorn i bet more people might consider going.  geez louise!  we saw mission impossible, if you are looking for a good action packed movie i'd check it out.  tom cruise is still a bit wierd and he really doesn't do it for me in cute arena anymore, but the movie keeps you on the edge of your seat.

i am ashamed to admit that i hit the sack by 10:30pm on new years eve because i was just plain tired...i typically fall asleep and the hubs has to wake me up, this year i decided i'd rather fall asleep in my bed and not be bothered with the wake up call.  the hubs and i determined i woke up in pretty much the same position that i fell asleep in.  seriously, this never happens.  i think i really needed some good zzz's and hopefully this means 2012 will rock for sleeping.  i am so glad i did end of getting to bed early though because kman woke us up bright and early the next morning (new year's day) with an upset stomach.  poor guy spent new year's day down and out...he really just doesn't know how to hold his sparkling apple cider.  but thankfully he recovered after about 8 hours and yesterday got to play in the 0.5 inch of snow we got here yesterday.

its super chilly here today...but we're supposed to hit 50 by the end of the week, so i'll take it.  i don't like cold, but i'll suffer with two days.  (dearest mother nature, you understand two days is all i'll agree to!)

spring is just around the corner, right?  got the email to sign kman up for t-ball...so that MUST surely mean that soon it will be warm all the days, again!
