so the boy's school is collecting canned soup for a local food pantry and the other night on one of my many trips to sams, i picked up a dozen cans of chicken noodle soup. i figured i was doing good and dropped them off at the school...well guess who was upset this morning because he didn't get to bring in any soup. yep-kman was upset. and no matter how many times i mentioned to him that we already took in twelve cans of soup-it didn't seem to matter. blah! really? i guess i should be excited that he wants to bring in soup-but after this week, this month, these last couple of months i really could just crawl into a hole and cry. some days it doesn't seem to matter and it just seems like nothing is ever good enough. i keep telling myself i just need to get through the next day, the next week, etc... and eventually it will all settle down-maybe its because i am nearing the end of one of my biggest hurdles and i am just spent. i once gave an old boss a little plaque that said "the journey is the reward". this is extremely true because usually the end is only the result of all the hardwork in the middle and the beginning, etc..
each and every day i feel thankful and feel blessed for my family and great friends-but i guess i just want my reward for bringing in twelve, it was twelve (now thirteen) cans of soup-darn it.
