i don't wake up with the intention that i'll spend the first hour or so yelling...it just happens.
not everyday, just some days-like this morning. so, why is it that something as min-ute as kman not getting his shoes on can send me into a tizzy? well its not that simple, really? or is it? i asked several times, now by several i don't mean a million, more like seven or eight times and each time i get a response that is like a wining groan...the most annoying sound ever. now i realize he's only 4...today in fact he's two months shy of 5. WHY on this green earth does every little thing have to be so dramatic especially at 6:30 in the morning? why is it so hard to just go ahead and get the shoes on? why is it such a big deal? on the other hand, i am now asking myself why is it such a big deal to me that he's not doing it? really...its shoes...but its that annoying groaning sound that gets to me, not to mention the eight times i've asked him to do something. kman has one job in the morning...getting dressed. in the end it happens, sometimes with help and other times he has no issues and some mornings its like the end of the world that he might have to consider actually putting the shoes on or whatever piece of clothing it is.
really, i ALWAYS feel like the worst mom in the world after i've had my "moment"....i spent my hour long commute this morning hating myself and wondering what i can do better. it's just shoes, right?
"Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them -- every day begin the task anew."
