we
we had already picked out a paint color the day before that-it was easy...i narrowed it down to two and hubs picked which he liked the best and i think i went with the other (ha-ha...just kidding!)
i picked up a new light, the hardware and a couple of linens.
i have an idea on artwork for there-the painting i stole from my living room that doesn't quite "jive with my new screendoor above the couch." (yet to be installed! one thing at a time people!) we are using a mirror that we already have and we are painting it. we started this on saturday afternoon, so once we finish this, i'll show you the before and after. (LOVE SPRAY PAINT!)
i ended up with everything we needed by mid afternoon saturday and by saturday evening hubs was demo-ing. our original plan was to work this in september-but hey we had an extra few hours, so what the heck!
ha-ha...leave it to us!

| GOOD-BYE SINK! BEHIND THE EXISTING LIGHT, SERIOUSLY?? THAT'S BETTER! HALF WAY THROUGH THE FIRST COAT OF MY NEW FAVORITE COLOR "WATERY"! PAINTED, READY FOR PHASE TWO! |
we also managed to install some walkway lights. in our travels saturday morning, we stumbled across some on clearance and so now when you show up at my house unexpected on say a friday night after the sun has gone down, now you'll actually find your way to our front door-because we don't typically leave the lights on. (by install...i mean we put them in the ground using the little stake thingy-they are solar, so no wiring needed!) the install took a measuring tape and a cranky me and hubs at 9:30ishpm last night, "discussing" the placement. in the end they look fab and a neighbor commented on them as she finished up her evening walk! (YES, she liked them!)
kman spent saturday with grandma m at an art auction/festival in lebanon. they had a super fun day, my little guy was EXHAUSTED when they arrived home. he painted this sun-catcher all by himself and told me that it was a present for me! i love it and it looks great hanging in my kitchen window right above my mother's day plants!
