i probably said this last week...but LONGEST week eva! geez louise i don't think friday afternoon will ever actually get here. it could also be that i know that we'll be having mexican for dinner on friday night and i can't seem to stop thinking abou it? no...its not that? ha-ha!
tonight i finish up my first session of my real estate classes-i can't believe i've been there for a month already. class typically ends about 10:20pm and i quickly make my way to the car and then i proceed to stress out on the ride home about how in the heck am i going to remember all of this when i go to take the license exam? OH MY!!! of course there are also the other fears of ...who will be my clients? why would anyone choose me? etc...etc... for months now i've really tried to be ultra positive...and am imagining myself in the role and LOVING it-sorta the "be the ball" mantra...BUT i am still freaking out about it. ugh-brain...stop being so hard on yourself, stop worrying. but unfortunately i think its easier said than done.
still one of my biggest hurdles is telling people about this. Ok, so you all know...but i haven't really broadcast this to the world, because i have such a HUGE fear of failure. BUT...its a double edged sword and something greg has been yelling at me about for a couple of months. IF, i don't tell anyone...then how will people know and then how will they know they do or don't want to be my client? my biggest thing is keeping this private from my workplace (really my boss) and its been hard over the past month not to share it with my "friends" or to remember to not say..."geez i am exhausted because i didn't get home until close to 11pm", ect... i need to figure out how to balance and when i can broadcast my news to my peeps (also known as the "sphere of influence") and how i don't want anyone to feel pressured...but know what i do and that i am here to be the best darn agent i can be for them, RIGHT? Heck yes!!!!!!!!!!!
i did start taking a small step in this...for those of you on facebook-you'll understand, but my instructor has talked A LOT about social media. he believes in it and his feeling is, "you never know where your next sale is coming from" so he believes in being out there..putting yourself out there. in the end i am really selling myself not a house, right? anyway so, i typically don't post much on facebook, hardly ever, i tend to be more of a "stalker" of my "friends" on there. i'll comment or "like" something they post, but that's about it. up until a couple of weeks ago, i was happy with my friend "count" and wasn't searching for new ones...but now i am slowly adding more and more and more...and i guess at some point, i'll have to advertise myself. i am not exactly sure how this media is going to go...because i don't want to be cheesy or annoying. hmmm... just trying to work it all out is exhausting.
