some little big news!

have you missed me?  i know,  i missed you all too...can you believe i didn't even turn on a computer for 8 whole days, i know...really?  its true.  it was kind of nice though. i can tell you i don't think our week of vacation was quite as relaxing as both greg and i had hoped for...but i guess someone forgot to remind me of the 4 year old and the 14 month old we were taking with us.  ;~)
kman had an awesome time; it was his best "baycation" ever!  we had some funny family moments and of course made memories that we'll treasure forever and in the end that's all that really matters!  i'll fill you in on some of our fun in the next few days...

OK, so now BIG NEWS!  oh about twenty years ago or so-maybe even longer i developed a passion.  one that has stayed with me, in high school i studied architectual drawing and LOVED the home building piece.  i must admit i snoozed a bit during the engineering aspects of the class.  i was more interested in how the inside of the house would be decorated, what type of kitchen it would have, etc..etc...  all of this developed into my love for interior design; which at one point i considered making a career out of...but due to school limatations, etc.. i never pursued.  (a whole different story for another day) ANYWHO...i've always loved houses in general and have loved the buying and selling aspect.  i've spent a lot of time in my own life in the process as in the last 12 years i've bought and sold 4 of my own.  (hubs is hopeful that this last move sticks for awhile~me too...as much as i LOVE buying and selling, i HATE moving!)  so, this week i embark on a new journey...one that will hopefully take me down a new path in life.  this week i start school to get my real estate license.  this is a dream i've had for some time now and i've had so many reasons not to start it.  but a few months ago i knew if i never had the courage to pursue it; i would always regret it.

my hope and current plan is to work at this part-time for an undefined amount of time; basically until i feel like i am stable enough to move on and leave my current role.  its all up in the air now-so we'll see what the future holds.

i've been really nervous about telling people, because i think they'll think i am crazy.  but i think this is the absolute right thing for me and in the end that makes it the right thing for my family as well.  i want to be happy to show up at work every day and love what i do.  i think this step makes that possible.

i found this quote and i think it truly describes how i feel

"So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains
And we never even know we have the key."
Lyrics from Already Gone, peformed by the Eagles for their 1974 On the Border album

wish me luck!
