so this morning i was trying to explain to kman why the little girl behind is staying home today-well you see her mommy and daddy are school teachers and they have the summer off...so they'll be home at the pool while we are going to work everyday slaving away. while i am not knocking what teachers do-just totally jealous. imagine, a real whiny voice here "i wanna stay home all summer long and have fun in the sun too!" ugh....why didn't i become a teacher again? he-he..i am pretty sure its not a job i would want-but those summers off sure sound tempting.
if i were president i'd let EVERYONE have the summer off; or maybe just a month of the summer-you'd probably have to job share-but it sounds reasonable to me! why don't we ever have candidates running for president interested in reducing the work week (while of course keeping salaries the same?) or committing to national holidays that are a month long...in european countries this does happen! i am still bitter that this is a 5 day work week as opposed to last week's 4 day work week...so you'll excuse my rant ;) and of course that the neighbors are home sleeping in-while we are up and at em' so early on monday morning.
