milestones

so yesterday doodle hit another milestone-we said good-bye to the bottle (except the bedtime one, which i think he'd probably be fine taking as a sippy cup-but it seems much more "sleepy time" to me; although last night he kind of grabbed the bottle from me and held it himself-maybe i should be taking his cue?)

good-bye cleaning all the bottles and the millon parts-hopefully only a few more weeks on the formula and we'll be ready for whole milk (ahh...)  let's see-he's been on 5 bottles a day since atleast 12 weeks old, so that's about 1,200 bottles so far.  geez!  what will we do with ourselves when there are no more bottles to make? =)  today its good-bye bottles, tomorrow its hello college...obviously an exaggeration; but some days it realy does feel like time goes that fast.  i can't believe kman is 4 and a half and playing t-ball.  umm...wasn't it just yesterday i was making one of his 1,200 bottles?

yesterday was a fanastic day weather wise-by 5pm it was about 67 degrees, bright and sunny.  LOVED it!  doodle and i ate a quick dinner and we busted out the stroller and took a nice long walk.  he was all about it, until minute 40 or so-and he was ready to get out.  at one point i thought he may have actually fallen asleep but when i went to check he gave me a look and started squirming and whining...so we headed home.  at this point i gave him my cell phone to play with-thinking there wasn't any harm in that-but he managed to call our lovely photographer dawn twice- (i later found out) and he dropped it once on the ground-this is when i promptly took it away (now of course there is a big scratch on the screen and when i went to listen to the message that dawn left me about missing my calls (she probably thought i was in dire need of a photoshoot or a picture edited or something) i could barely hear the call.  UGH...we've been thinking about updating phones, but i really was just "thinking" about it.  actually doing it is another story. more to come there i guess.
