this weekend seemed like it was filled was lots of ups and downs for me.
friday night we headed out to dinner at the local red robin and "bumped" into one of those people you try to hide from and then you wonder did they see me, i saw them-surely they saw me? in the end it really doesn't matter but why can't you happen to bump into someone worth seeing? i think its god's little way of keeping us all human? after our big night out the boys were exhausted and went to bed as soon as we got home. hubs and i weren't too far behind.
saturday morning i had brunch with k & l and had a great time as always we made a quick trip to nordstrom rack and even though i said "i am not going to buy anything" i did :( but the up here was that i only spent $25 bucks and walked out with 4 things...so i thought it was successful.
while i was out with the ladies hubs had to play mr fix it at his mom's and took the boys with him. when we all go home i talked to kman about his mornig and immediately he said he wanted to go back to grandma's house. ever since he stayed with her while we were busy having doodle he's been a little "wierd" about spending the night. so i talked to him about it and he said he wanted to stay there...thankfully grandma didn't have anything on her plate and we took him back over there. all was successful so hopefully we've broken the uneasyness he had. it only took 9 months; if only potty training where that easy?
sunday morning hubs and i had some much needed discussions on "life". its always hard to say how you really feel sometimes, but i think once you get the feelings out you always feel a million times better. its so much better when the team is on the same page.
it won't matter much though because a few weeks ago we started working on a new budget and it goes into effect march 1st...so we are both pretty confident we'll be looking into a divorce lawyer :) ha-ha! all kidding aside. we've had seperate accounts since we've been together; so i think we realize if we are able to combine forces in the end we'll be much better off. i have always liked the fact we don't discuss money because then we don't argue about money. no give and take there :) Let's revisit this topic at the end of march.
sunday eve i took kman to the mall to get a much needed new pair of shoes-typically i would be too cheap to take him there but my brother gave him a gift card to "foot locker" for xmas. i think he enjoyed the experience and now i remember why i don't ever take him to the mall. he was fondling mannequins, shouting "there's boobs" as we walked passed the windows of "gap body" and when i quickly stopped into the "coach" store he was playing in the window. honestly he did better than expected there...but i don't anticipate he'll be joining me on any shopping trips anytime soon. when we got home we made yummy chicken fajita's (hubs really did all the work) and watch the super bowl. greg had no interest in the game since the stillers were playing. i didn't really care who won, but have always like green bay...only because my high school/college boyfriend was from milwaukee and he was a huge packers fan and i thought brett favre was totally hot and didn't mind watching him.
its a different time now but there is still a small spot in my heart for the packers and i'll never forget my fun and exciting trip to greenbay for work one year. (it was very early spring and still pretty cold...when i got to the rental car desk i asked the girl "what is there to do in greenbay?" she very serious looked at me and said "this is greenbay-all we have is football, unfortunately for you its not football season!" oh ok...well just down from the stadium was a very nice mall. funny as i am pretty sure i ate at a red robin on that trip...my first ever red robin experience...not that i am a red robin-holic or anything. (just funny how i am starting this off with a red robin dinner and ending with one?))
anywho... :)
