i just dropped kman off at "school" and we are keeping doodle home this morning. he's been coughing uncontrollobly (thankfully it didn't keep him up through the night) and he has a low grade fever. he's been really pulling his ear and deep down i know its just that darn front tooth' but i think a trip to the pediatrician's office may be in order-just to confirm there isn't an ear infection. (shamefully i must admit kman has never had an ear infection so i can't really diagnos this one.) i've put doodle in the baby swing; i think it might be one of his last hurrah's in there. i think he weighs too much that the swing is barely moving...but he's slowy drifting into sleep.
it actually started snowing again this morning...we got about 6 inches by all was said and done last week and truthfully i have had my fill. i spent 90 minutes in the car on friday morning and didn't go more than the few miles it takes me to get to the highway...i turned around and headed back home. thankfully i had brought home enough work to keep me busy and i spent the day in the homeoffice. we did venture out for dinner that night the new mexican restuarant close to us.
on saturday we really didn't have much planned our big to do items were getting bailey to the groomer for a much needed bath-boy he looked great after that. why i don't take him there more often is beyond me. i've got a mental note i should really get him there in the spring. i talked to my aunt "m" on the phone for a good hour that day as well...i hadn't caught up with her in a while. so it was nice to reconnect. some of the hour involved me getting the dog in the car and the travel time to the petsmart...but i got to find it where i can. :)
sunday we talked about being somewhat productive-i cleaned my hairbrush one those much needed to do items that just never gets done and we put away laundry. i really never got out of my pjs and the boys really only changed so they could go outside and play in the snow for a bit. when they came in i had made them some hot chocolate. i think kman's only had it one other time and he was so excited that i put marshmellows in it. i barely go the words "its hot" out of my mouth before i looked over and saw the sip he'd tried to take running out of his mouth and then this look of shock on his face. 'it burnted my tongue" he said.
i actually enjoyed spending the last two days doing much of nothing it was a pleasant change from the weeks before. i am sure next week we'll be back to running around and going mock five. but now that i am dressed and up and ready to do work...i am missing the slow sunday.
